Great to meet with Minister Simon Coveney yesterday and two other LEO Supported companies, Hatched Analytics and Reward Catering at the press announcement of 7,870 Jobs created in 2022 and a total of 37,863 jobs, with the support of the Local Enterprise Offices (LEO).
Stainless Quality Fabrication (SQ Fabs) was established in 2018, comprising of 7 employees, 6 customers and a turnover of €750K and today has grown with the assistance of LEO to 18 employees, over 50 customers and a turnover of €2.2 million in 2022. We see this growth continuing into 2023 and beyond. We are currently seeking to recruit 2 additional Engineers and will be recruiting 2 more apprentice fabricators later in the year.
SQ Fabs would not be where we are today without the assistance, support and guidance of Bernie Moloney and the Team in LEO Limerick. As well as the financial support, the training, mentoring and encouragement helped guide SQ Fabs through the last 3 to 4 years. I am delighted to hear that Minister Coveney has also announced that Local Enterprise Offices will be expanded to allow them to support companies with up to 50 employees. This had been limited to 10 employees to date, so thankfully Stainless Quality Fabrication can be supported by LEO over the next few years.
I would encourage any start-up company to get involved with their LEO to help them establish and grow their business and especially to avail of all the networking opportunities provided.
